Gokshura is a flowering plant with a long history of herbal remedy , particularly for its reputed effects on reproductive and urinary systems. It belongs to the Caltrop family because the fruits of this plant resemble cow hooves, its name is derived from two Sanskrit words: ‘Go’ meaning cow and ‘Aakshura’ meaning hoof.
