Neem (Azadirachta indica)

Commonly known as Neem, nimtree or Indian lilac, is a tree in the mahogany family Meliaceae and is a native of India . Neem is a fast-growing and evergreen tree. The word NEEM is derived from Sanskrit Nimba which means 'bestower of good health'. Neem tree is known for its numerous medicinal, agricultural and environmental uses. It is used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine for centuries for its antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties. All parts of the Neem tree- leaves, flowers, seeds, fruits, roots and bark have been used traditionally for the treatment of inflammation, infections, fever, skin diseases and dental disorders. Its fruits and seeds are the source of Neem oil.

It is available in various forms like, Neem leaves dried, powder, seed, bark, capsule, extract and oil.
