Triphala ("three fruits") is an Ayurvedic herbal rasayana formula consisting of equal parts of three fruits taken without seed: Amla (Phyllanthus emblica), Baheda (Terminalia bellirica), and Haritaki (Terminalia chebula). It contains vitamin C. these three fruits represent bioenergetics forces in Ayurveda: Amla (sour), Baheda (astringent),and haritaki (pungent). They are dried, powdered and mixed together in equal proportions. Triphala has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for a variety of health conditions and to support various body systems.
It is available in capsule, extract and powdered form.
